The dish needs a clear view of the sky. Trees, buildings and other obstacles may interrupt connections. Select your hardware in the Starlink app and scan from the planned installation position and height.
After connection, the obstruction map records actual satellite links; it is different from the phone’s preliminary scan and can take up to 12 hours to build. Check performance before permanent mounting, follow your kit’s guide and seek professional help for work at height when needed.
