Starlink states that connected equipment downloads updates automatically and installs them overnight. Hardware left offline for months may need additional steps described in the app. Keep the mobile app up to date as well; app and hardware versions are different things.
For update coverage, record the date, model, official source and confirmed changes. If no detailed release notes exist, say so. A new firmware number or a single faster speed test is not proof of an improvement caused by that update.
