Starlink in Germany may be useful when your existing connection does not meet your needs or you need internet in different locations. Address availability, a clear sky view and total costs matter most. This independent guide supports your decision; it is not an original speed test.
Check the address and intended use first
Check your exact address on the official Starlink map and during checkout. An offer in Germany does not mean every plan is available at every address. Fixed-home use and travel have different plan rules. Compare available DSL and fibre connections at the same address.
Home plans
The German plan page lists the following monthly service prices on 18 October 2026. The 100 and 200 Mbps plans cap download speeds at their respective rates and are available in selected areas. Max offers maximum available speeds, not guaranteed performance at your installation location.

Internet while travelling
Roam 100 GB is listed at €45 per month and Roam Unlimited at €95. After the 100 GB allowance, the former continues at lower speed. Check destination countries, international time limits and permission for in-motion use separately. A German plan does not grant unrestricted worldwide use.
A balcony does not always mean a clear sky view
Use the Starlink app to check the intended installation spot before buying a permanent mount. Trees, roof edges and neighbouring buildings may block the sky. For Mini devices, follow the alignment indicator in the app. A general north-facing rule does not replace instructions for the specific device and location. Clarify mounting arrangements for a balcony or rented home beforehand.
Costs and the 30-day trial
Look beyond the monthly charge: hardware, shipping, mounts, cables and electricity may add costs. Compare the complete checkout total. “Try for 30 days” does not mean the first month is free. Returns and refunds follow Starlink’s terms; check the start date and refundable costs for your order.
Referral rewards: check the conditions
